Well, January is almost over and I haven't posted much since I said I would do more of that in the new year. Soon after I read my goals post for 2013 I watched a TED talk video telling me I shouldn't announce my goals because announcing them makes you feel like you've actually accomplished part of those goals already. I think there is some truth in that! I have been working on many different art projects lately, however none of them seem to be completed yet, so I haven't posted anything. The image above is a sneak preview of the sketches I've been working on for the wonderful kids in the grade 3 class I taught for a couple months in the fall. These are taking me way longer than expected because I am trying to make them all unique and detailed instead of the initial "sketch" idea I was going for. Oh well, its fun! Other projects include a couple of acrylic paintings on board, some album art for a local band, a collaborative painting with a colleague, and some jewelry making! Also, I get to teach Photography again at the high school starting next week as well as this new exciting course which is a 2-in-1 deal called Computer Animation and Web Design! How cool is that! I'm so excited. I'm also excited because the more busy I am the more art I seem to do, so this is good for me work AND art-wise. Hope you all had a great January!
