Do you have a sad, lonely wall?

   Two of my favourite paintings, The Perch I and The Perch II have been for sale previously at Mountainside Gallery and Framing for $150.00 each, but I'd like to offer a price reduction on The Perch I as I recently noticed a small scratch in the paint. If anyone is in the market for a new painting for their walls I am offering to sell The Perch I for $130.00 and The Perch II for its most recent price of $150.00 or the both for $275. Both canvases are on 2" thick stretchers, so no need for framing if you don't want. 
   These were so much fun to create! I tried many new techniques with these, including printing with linocuts on tissue paper and applying to the canvas, using texture in the form of drywall filler, and using vegetable oil as a paint resist. I can't decide if I like them better together or apart! They have a semi-mirroring paint splatter that matches up if you hang them a couple of inches off, but they look great on their own too. I hope to one day paint more with a similar textured feel.
   Does anyone recognize the lamp posts from a certain place in Victoria? Often birds perch up on there to get a good look over the area.
